Očko, Damir (1977), studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. An artist whose work takes its starting point in music, time and movement, and is often imbued with references to literature and music history. He took part in a number of group exhibitions, the most recent of which are PostDimensione. Viaggio nell’arte contemporanea, Molfetta Bari; Avventure Minime, Salerno; Working Title, Stuttgart and Warsaw; Here and Now, Bologna; Vidéos Europa, Tourcoing; Image of Sound, Split. He also showed his work in solo exhibitions at Tiziana di Caro Gallery in Salerno; in Kunstverein Leipzig in Leipzig; Lothringer13, Städtische Kunsthalle in Munich; Gallery Miroslav Kraljević in Zagreb... He participated in residential programmes in Helsinki (HIAP), Vienna (KulturKontakt), Tirana (Institute of Contemporary Art), Stuttgart (Akademie Schloss Solitude), Leipzig (Künstlerresidenz Blumen) and Dale (Nordic Artists’ Centre).
